Celebrating #SocialWorkWeek with BC Association of Social Workers

It was a pleasure to speak to Mandy about what keeps her motivated as a social worker, even in the toughest of circumstances. All of our social workers work tirelessly to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Did you know there is a mobile therapy bus currently providing easy access to supports for over 70 Indigenous children and youth living in First Nation communities around Williams Lake, and the Cariboo Chilcotin region? The bus celebrated its 1st anniversary, as noted in the Williams Lake Tribune.

This might be my favourite way so far to buy local. We have an impressive variety of local food businesses in the TriCities, and it was a pleasure to sample them last night at the Taste of the TriCities festival!

Today at the constituency office we got trained on how to safely use Naloxone to save someone’s life during an overdose.

A huge thanks to the folks at Naloxhome for showing us how to spot signs of an overdose and intervene while medical professionals are on their way.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day We remember We honour We act We resolve

Today, we remember the more than six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the millions of others murdered by the Nazi regime. As survivors grow fewer, our responsibility to remember and our resolve to act grows stronger. (1/3)
