Here is @aoc.bsky.social thankfully telling everyone exactly what to do to stop a concentration camp from being built where you live.

Please take it to heart and take action.

A very thoughtful article. She describes many qualities but refers to the most telling one indirectly, that others also feel at peace in their presence.

Yes, a taxpayer-funded European social media platform could πŸ’― work, but only under certain conditions. The real question isn’t technical feasibility; it’s governance, incentives, and user adoption. Europe actually has several partial experiments that help answer this.

That so many Americans willingly or inadvertantly support this authoritarian regime's agenda is just crazy to me. Everyday is surreal.

I don't know about justice as retribution. Does it really teach people who do bad things to be better? He's in there whining and not making a connection between his misery and what he did to others while we're paying to warehouse him. He could cleaning up trash on the highway and earn his keep.

A black-and-white historical portrait photograph of EdmΓ©e Chandon, the pioneering French astronomer (1885–1944), shown as a young woman. She has short, curly dark hair styled in a bob with soft volume, adorned with a dark headband featuring two prominent vertical barrette-like pins or clips. Her expression is calm and direct, gazing straight at the camera with a subtle, composed demeanor. She wears a dark velvet or satin dress with a high neckline accented by a white lace ruffled collar or jabot, and a small decorative brooch or button at the center. The image has a classic early 20th-century studio style with soft lighting, a plain background, and slight vignetting, evoking elegance and determination.

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected β€” young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! β€” and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.

Permament daylight savings is unhealthy. I actually wish we'd just keep standard time and honor the seasons. I place bets that BC will eventually roll their decision back.

I know the world is burning right now, but I still have to sell my book.
β€œRequiem for a College” is my story and the story of others who lost everything when small colleges closed. It also explains why this trend is happening.
