Another one of Ken Paxton’s propaganda lawsuits rejected in court.
Paxton sued Jolt Initiative alleging, with no evidence, that they “illegally” registered voters. The court shut him down for acting in bad faith.
This wasn't about election integrity, it was about intimidation.
Paxton’s suit was not about election integrity, it was about intimidation.
We need an attorney general who takes voting rights and election integrity seriously, and who doesn’t weaponize the office to the detriment of both.
If we keep doing that — up and down the ballot — Texas is going to keep surprising people. Until it’s no longer surprising.
Taylor’s win shows what’s possible when Democrats run serious, capable leaders who are focused on solving problems instead of feeding culture wars.
It’s the same theory of change I’m running on: meet voters where they are, take their concerns seriously, and offer competent, principled leadership.
I have a record of attacking all the things that Democrats and Republicans alike are sick of, while delivering on the things that the ruling faction of Republicans have neglected – affordable healthcare and housing, stable energy, quality public education.
The result makes it in-your-face clear: while Democrats are surging to the polls, lifelong Republicans are sick of their party elevating hostility, greed, and domineering, autocratic tendencies over responsible management of the economy and fundamental human decency.
Wambsganss was and is in many ways the perfect R opponent: a clear reflection of the destructiveness the Republican Party has been offering in place of responsible leadership.

Taylor was, in many ways, the perfect Democratic candidate in this red district special election: likable, indisputably a man of the people, and his campaign rhetoric focused on the issues affecting Texans the most right now.
