That is a very smart woody. And a dipper is always a joy. Going a bit green here for the otters.

A Glossy Ibis captured mid-landing in Bharatpur, wings arched wide and feathers splayed as it descends. The bird’s copper-toned body and long curved bill stand out against a soft blue and green marsh backdrop with out-of-focus waterfowl below.

Deterring Russia is the only effective long-term strategy for dealing with Moscow.

It’s about making the Kremlin see a simple reality every day: war comes at too high a cost. Deterrence must work not just until the end of the current conflict, but far beyond -

A coffee table that converts so you can use to eat or work off. The table top is raised showing a rather untidy interior. In one corner a black and white cat is fast asleep, preventing the tabletop being lowered to its closed position.

I was very happy watching the birds. Something I didn't see today but that sister and hubby have is a juvenile Jackdaw. Anne has noticed the adults taking food away for several weeks.

Some parents need to be sterilised and have their children removed to a safe place where they can grow to maturity.

If he's so fond of women why is his cabinet empty of them?

Totally agree. Parliamentary body to set reasonable money for election to be awarded to every party. Any not used to be returned.
Any million/billionaires wanting to donate to a political party can do so abroad. Any party found accepting donations to be suitably dealt with.

A gentle day.

Rain gathered in the hollow of an empty snail shell. On impulse, I rested a few daisies within it, their faintly pink-tinted rays catching what light the afternoon allowed.

Placing brightness inside absence β€” a small restoration of balance.
