Orange and purple quilt still on the quilting frame in my studio. Friendship stars surround a larger pieced purple and orange and print friendship star. Piano keys quilting on the borders. Orange peel quilting design and feathers fill the "empty" space. Some Swirls and curls in the border.
Over 35 hours in this quilt. So much ruler work. Yes, I did pick out some stitches because of a disaster with bobbin tension. Sigh. It's for a friend, not a show. I rather like it.

Well fuckity fuck fuck. I always check the tension when I put in a new bobbin. It looked great. As I was quilting along, I saw that the top was looking tight. So I loosened it. Didn't check the bottom until I saw a bad stitch up top. Yes, I picked out a whole row. #quiltsky
