I gotta admit - every year when I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” I cry. Who hasn’t known that long dark night? And who doesn’t appreciate the ideas of hope and love and community?

I hope you get some time over the holidays to pet a few Orangeys and relax. It sounds like you could use some resting time, maybe with a cat snoozing on your chest.

I feel that too - like it's time to hunker down and hide someplace warm and dry and safe. I really hope this is just a primal reaction to the approaching solstice as opposed to more Tower Time excitement.

Bought my nephew a winter coat today. I don’t really like my job but it means today a 12 year old has a coat, and I am so incredibly grateful I could do that.

I am left feeling elated and marveling and like I can feel every generation going back for millennia. A profound sense of time and connection and energy.

I sat there listening to the peepers and watch that glorious orange globe rise. Just me and maybe 50 other people. I swear I could feel the millions who have stood where I stood and watched what I watched.

Octagon Earthworks is all about the 18.5 year cycle of the moon. Tonight was the full moonrise at the end of the cycle this ancient monument is designed for. The moon rises through an earth gate.

So if you live in N Am and always wanted to see sunrise at Stonehenge on an equinox, the Hopewell created many earthworks in the US Midwest aligned to various astronomical phenomena.

Had a profound experience tonight that has left me practically blithering. I saw the northern most moonrise at the Octagon Earthworks. And I gotta tell you about it. #pagansky #witchsky
