What an insane turn of events it would be if Antonelli beats Hamilton in the #F1 drivers championship.
Sainz is also guaranteed to have more podiums than Lewis.
Hearing Kimi Antonelli's reaction to the online abuse he received for last week was heart-breaking.
GP made a sarcastic comment that was objectively harmless, why would anyone think that would lead to these moronic tribalistic "fans" sending death threats to a teenager.
If it wasn't for Alonso backing up the field in his 2nd stint, there's a genuine scenario McLaren could've had a MUCH worse weekend.
Piastri would've finished further back and based on Lando's complete inability to overtake, even on fresher tyres... he might've finished outside the points.

McLaren and Lando owe everything to the engineers that built that car because as a team, when it comes to anything but the pure pace of the car, McLaren have been absolutely TERRIBLE.
Max deserves to win this Championship.

Horner definitely isn't blameless but Helmut's role is running the driver development programme and with his influence over Verstappen it seems he just has the final say in anything driver related.
The Liam Lawson situation is entirely Helmut Marko's fault. I like Liam, he got to F1 the hard way and deserves a shot... But Yuki was the obvious first choice for the main Red Bull seat alongside Verstappen and he is immensely popular... It put Liam in an unnecessarily difficult situation.

He was loathed for winning in a dominant car, blamed for making the sport boring due to his dominance and generally someone a lot of people loved to hate.
But now he's the underdog... he's about to go on his babyface arc!
As the Sky commentary have decided to completely ignore a major talking point in this race... I'll point it out...
If Piastri didn't lose it when he did, he would've passed Lando when he lost it and likely would've won the race.
