as a person who was groomed to be part of a fandom policing crusade in the 2000s due other reasons, I can assure you:

It is not just drama.

These are the same people who would say "I can't post X/Y/Z because there are antis/neutrals following me and I know they'd unfollow me wah wah wah" and look me in the eye when I said "yeah they were threatening to doxx me and put me on a hate forum" and say "oh that's just drama"

I would LIKE to think the people in the "JoJo safe spaces" I was in know better now but to have people say that shit while doing absolutely fuck and all to stand up for me really shows me that there are people who, even if anti-censorship, really don't give a fuck about others

If you are the type of person to reduce "pro vs. anti" to "internet beef" or "internet drama" or "terminally online discourse" then fuck you, legitimately.

I had people saying this to my face in a supposed "safe space" while I was literally being stalked and threatened and told to kill myself

I also have certain traumas. And I had to grow up a fuckin' spine (sorry for the boomer-like language, I'm so upset with this) and learn to stop of taking it personal. Why do people can't do that and just, dunno, not watch it without assuming everybody is like their abusers?

Its annoying.

I blocked her because I am not close to her enough to tell her that trauma is not excuse to hold shitty, biased and unscientific views, but those people are the kind of people who use their trauma to shut off any conversation I have zero patience with that people.

holyyy scheaaat, this reminded me a messed up issue with a random Josuyasu artist who I used to follow on IG (won't reveal her user) because she became a "neutral" but with a very stupid anti-take against age gap and other stuff, because she is traumatized due shit that happened to her.

with people just now figuring out that callout posts for "draws the wrong type of art" is fascist shit, i admit i feel a bit salty.

like... so we did basically two decades of that to people and now it's not okay. banished hundreds of generational talents from the fandom until it was inconvenient.

Not to be dramatic but everyone who has kept silent watching artist after artist be harassed to the point of deleting their socials better start speaking up on their behalf. There are some people who never came back to us, even offline, because of your "neutrality".

A painting of my old winged Tiefling OC! I actually painted a portrait for her ages ago (in 2019, jfc how has so much time passed so quickly) and decided to revisit it since it had been so long. She has dark grey-ish purple skin (although it looks a lot more vibrant here given the lighting) and luminescent freckles that shift between colours like start in the night sky.
