I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.

I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process

That’s so cool! Thanks for explaining the process. I actually had no idea you could print on transparency sheets. I’ve tried to do lineart on acetate and it’s soooo hard, I can never get the control to get it looking crisp.

this is so genuinely impressive, I love it. Are you just doing acrylic with pen on acetate sheets? Those lines are so crisp.

I’ve been following this guide tailored for Step 0 beginners! docs.google.com/document/d/1... I’ve re-learned almost all of hiragana/katakana in a few days using tofugu guides/mnemonics for 10-20 min stretches.

To be fair I’m familiar with it (learned basic stuff in high school) but that was also… 2007-2008 and I was learning stuff by brute force memorization.

Currently learning Japanese and my brain elasticity is so stretchy and malleable… I can do anything.

I also hope the dog remains quad because from people’s theories, it’ll be a sort of guardian dog and I can’t imagine me not being immediately obsessed with it. Especially if it gets a big, wide/flat face kind of like a chow chow…. Aaaaaaa

I hope there’s not a lot of additional visual elements like some of the final stages in the last couple gens have had. I don’t even mind a bipedal dog, so long as the design is solid

At the same time I respect them for ending it before it became stale (and I’m sure running a show is super stressful). But I am also sad
