Dreams of spring starting!
A dry, tranquil Cissbury Ring this afternoon, the tree, the eastern entrance and my Dad on the edge of a mahoosive flint mine and another mine with clayey bottom. πΊ
Two boar tusks fixed together at their bases, forming a circular, horseshoe shape. On bronze strips and plaques fixed between the tusks are hung small bells in the shape of tulips.

No parallels were known from the Early Iron Age, but late Celtic and early Roman examples suggest it was a breast ornament for horses.

I've finished Clue 1 of my first ever Mystery Yarn ALong. A community knitting project run by the designer where everyone gets a clue weekly, which when knitted end up making a colourwork jumper.
This is the #Rujuu sweater, designed by #ZaneteHussain, pattern can be found on #Ravelry.
Patchwork quilt in progress, laid out over backing to try out the design. Mixed tartan and suiting sample rectangles in the centrepiece, plain blue cotton band surrounding, and tweed sample band around that, then the blue backing folded over to the front. All in muted shades of blue, green, brown.
