Dr Rachel Conlon has joined us as our new Research Statistician & Data Analyst and will be working with Professor @profcoe.bsky.social and the team behind the Great Teaching Toolkit, helping us carry out research into teachers' professional development and learning.

@profcoe.bsky.social and Raj Chande at #REd25 There are a *small* number of teachers who we can currently say are statistically (with 95% confidence) better or worse than average for student results… but even the ‘best’ teachers have individual classes who have negative progress, and vice versa!

I’m really pleased delegates found the ‘What can senior leaders do to support middle leaders?’ sessions so useful 😊

I think this is the clearest and most authoritative explanation of attention and working memory I have seen. I'm not usually a fan of these diagrams, but the depth of explanation here is very rich.
Is the choice of red/green (which many people can't discriminate) a deliberate metaphor?

After good conversations with @eleanorrrlouise.bsky.social and @rlrossi64.bsky.social I now think the root EHCP problem is:

There are too many and lots shouldn't need them.

Some do need them and will drown if they are taken away.

We can't tell the difference between the two groups.

Decoupling lower & upper secondary curricula This is because a principal end-goal of KS4 is a grade. But in KS3, the principal goal should be an invitation into the reality constructed by a subject's members.
