When I was a student, I used to look up dissertations by people whose work I admired, and I loved reading their acknowledgements to get a glimpse into their life (I actually still love doing that). So if even one person ends up doing the same with mine someday, I’ll be happy. 🙃
Each piece stands on its own, but I am still excited to see my dissertation out in the world as a single piece.
This cumulative dissertation was written within the ERC-funded DigitalValues project & supervised by Limor Shifman. It consists of three interconnected papers published in New Media & Society, the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, and Social Media + Society.
After more than a year since completing my doctorate, my PhD thesis, “The Construction of Values by Social Media Platforms,” has finally made its way into the library (open access)🥳
