I show that the effects of sanctions are negligible for sanctioning countries but can be substantial for Russia. But this crucially depends on which type of sanction is applied and who applies the sanction.
In this article I empirically measure the effects of #sanctions applied to #Russia and economic #support given to the #Ukraine on #stock prices and #exchange rates in 1) the sanctioning/supporting countries, 2) Russia and 3) the Ukraine.
