I am fishing in the mountains of Colorado and the water was at 11c. Crazy that you guys have trout water that warm when the area Im in now will hit air temps from 28C to over 37C!!
What are your air temps like recently?
The Echo base is a good $50 reel and does the job just fine. I believe Echo recommends an Airflow line with their glass rods, but cheap lines work well.
To be honest, Id rather go with a Redington Classic Trout for a slower rod. Its also about $100 cheaper. Punches well above its weight. Its ace.
Not the best. That rod is very slow, good for beginners but you may find it lacks power. Saying that it might be perfect for small stream trout if you like a slow action rod.
As for the reel and line, get the cheapest thing that holds line. I rarely put fish on the reel.
Wow that's one hell of a long leader lol. So many knots because you need to connect lines of different diameter together. It needs to taper from a stiff butt section down to a light tippet. In this case it's from 20lbs to about 6lbs.
The crowd is moving unnaturally. This one was easy to sort out. Also ask the people with the same sign was a clue.
Also see if there are any casting lessons available locally. Videos are excellent to learn from but it still doesnt come close to someone teaching you face to face. Good luck!
Also, if you must cheat ;) use the Oros indicators, those are the little bobber colored ones. They are much better that the other ones you have and they are the only ones I will use. I use them with mop flies in August for huge catfish haha.
