I read that an old boss was doing a sponsored run for a mental health charity & wanted to meet them at the finish line to kick them squarely in the nuts.

Yes, that butter is smellier than that butter, which in turn is smellier than this butter. Yes, I studied for years to be a butter smellier.
A handled pint glass of black beer on a paint stained table mat.
My rye stout this evening. I've got loads, but it's not my best - a little sweet & the head retention is poor. It's perfectly drinkable however, I should have just made less wort at a higher gravity.
Bovine lactate.
Listened to a new podcast series today - Life Without with Alan Davies. In episode 1 - life without the moon - he says that Tatooine had 2 moons.
Despite that I listened to them all & it's OK.

Imagine how much a single serving pork wellington, with a onion / offal reduction on a bed of petit pois machΓ© would fetch in that there London.
#Brewday was supposed to be a relaxing time while the rest of the household are at work / school. Boil was almost an hour longer while I dropped kid off at lunchtime & chiller stopped with lager wort at 18Β°C so I could collect my offspring at chucking out time.
Spring has sprung!
Oh & also AMG enzyme in the mash to make a drier beer. Have I mentioned before how I prefer dry beer?
The long weekend ends with a #brewday. A lager using pale Munich malt & Hallertaur Mittelfruh hops. Obstacles have been thrown in my way, but I am overcoming them & the boil has only been extended a little while a 2nd (successful) attempt at delivering my kid to school occurs #homebrew.
Two pint glasses of black beer in front of a green plastic bottle labelled Black IPA 4.7%.

A jar of sour cherries.
Another jar of something fermentable containing no yeast inhibiting potassium sorbate found on a supermarket shelf. Stashed under the stairs for a future brew.
It was my birthday this weekend, so I went to the seaside & bought some fancy* cans to drink with my Chinese takeaway.
I'm not about to stop brewing my own beer anytime soon.
*pricey.
A time for reflection.
A small town harbour seen from the sea side looking back at the shore on a grey, overcast day.
I'm getting about a bit this weekend. Maryport this arvo in the gloom of west coast Cumbria.
Inside the taproom was busy, but nobody was braving the outdoor drinking area to watch the sky change colour, reflected in the river Cocker.
From what I remember brewing it, it's Europils malt & one of the Hallertaur hops - as simple as that.
A brown glass bottle of Jinny Howelt Helles beer.
I'd been told this wasn't being brewed anymore, but I found it in the Crooked River taproom in Cockermouth this evening while waiting for my takeaway a few doors up.
Tractor Shed Jinny Howelt Helles is quite possibly my favourite British brewed lager.
A lit flat area alongside a river just after sunset, with the river reflecting the clear sky.
Waiting to collect a take away, so no time to loiter at Jennings riverside beer garden. Collect a couple of cans & away.
Mountains at sunset with high up shadows due to the low sun behind the viewer.
Had enough of standing outside now, but here's the very, very last bit of sun on the mountain tops.
I have not been into the Lake Districtβ’οΈ once today! Although those mountains are in the National Park & I'm stood just a few hundred metres outside.
