a longtime SUPERPOSE reader reached out to me to ask if i know of any safe, wheelchair-accessible housing in the chicago area. excerpted from their words, Alright, cutting to the chase: I’m a queer, trans, ex-artist (severe disability) facing homeless in a few weeks which isn’t something I make it out of alive without years of 🦼 accessible housing for basically corn chips, so I can survive long enough to recover from the move and get subsidized housing. so just wanted to see if you might know anyone/know anyone who might know someone who could maybe be able to offer that without it turning abusive/unsafe. Know this a wild long shot but after a life of hell, please don’t fault me for trying. Any leads outside the system (so ER, shelters, social workers, CIL, assisted living etc) would be so appreciated. I’m in the windy city btw unfortunately my own connections are extremely local to me ): if you have any leads or resources towards which i could direct them, feel free to DM or email me (tropicrux@gmail.com)
