It was an honor to be sworn in for my 7th term on the Cambridge City Council. Thank you to my family, my campaign team, and my friends and supporters. I will continue working to address our housing shortage, and make Cambridge an economically and socially just community for all.

Now, it is up to all of us to come together, leave the campaign season behind, and work collaboratively for the people of Cambridge.
I am excited for the work ahead and for the chance to continue building a stronger, more inclusive Cambridge. Let’s unite for all of Cambridge and get to work.
This election showed that residents want action and collaboration, not division or delay, and they expect us to govern with compassion and never lose sight of our neighbors who are struggling.
The voters sent a clear message. They want a City Council that will move forward, not backward, and that will act boldly on housing, safe streets, and building a city that welcomes everyone.
To my wife, Mary Anne, and my children, thank you for your love and your patience. I know campaign season disrupted our routines more than once, and your support made it all possible.
And to our incredible core volunteer team, including Pamela, Jess, Elizabeth, Alison, Sarah, Kara, and Quentin, thank you for giving your time, energy, and so much of yourselves to make this campaign possible. Your dedication and generosity mean more than I can say.
To our staff: Stella, Lucy, Jack, Carl, Weyni, Siraaj, Thomas, and Lucy A.., and to my ‘high school brigade’ Sadie, Oliver, Omer, Gryffin, Tomás, and Grady, your hard work, creativity, and optimism kept us moving forward every single day.
My campaign manager, Eric Toalson, led with tireless energy and determination. His steady leadership and skill in managing a dedicated team were the backbone of this effort. He ran a campaign that reached every neighborhood in Cambridge and kept us organized, focused, and inspired.
Voting is at the heart of Democracy and I want to thank everyone who voted on Tuesday. I also want to congratulate everyone who ran for City Council and School Committee. Putting yourself out there takes courage, and every candidate deserves respect for stepping up to serve their community.

Hi John. My comment about it being an event split was in response to Councillor Toner saying there were many more emails in support of two lanes. The main reason I supported the current configuration is because it's safer.
Cambridge, MA, has joined 11 other communities from around the country on an amicus brief challenging the Dept. Of Homeland Security's decision to revoke TPS for Venezuelans. Keep fighting!
Participation in the illegal sex trade is not merely a lapse in judgment. It fuels an industry that exploits and harms women. As this case advances, the Council, and more specifically, Councillor Toner, will need to make decisions on how to move forward. 2/2
Councillor Paul Toner has been named and charged in connection with a brothel operating in Cambridge. It is important to note that Councillor Toner has not been found guilty and is entitled to due process. However, the nature of these charges is deeply concerning. 1/2
