currently, this space is specifically for those with she/her and they/them pronouns; our words have always been dangerous and we’re learning how to reclaim them in a space that is safe—where our magic can unfurl freely and without fear of harm or ridicule or silencing.
And then, in the midst of meditation, it came to me: starting a discord server. It’s free, & available to storytellers, creatives, & practitioners who believe that in community our stories stand on their own & that these stories can be spells for healing: first for ourselves, and then for others.
I struggled with the how for a while. I looked at Mighty Networks, Circle, and a host of other platforms that might work for other people but I just wasn’t willing to fork over so much money a month for a space I knew needed to be as accessible as possible.
I woke up November 6 with clarity about three things: I needed to write my books with urgency, I needed to return to social media and use my voice and privilege, and I needed to create a community for writers. I’ve had one before - a few, actually. But this time felt different.
