I donโt talk about this much on these apps anymore, but I thought I would share what has worked for me over the years. Whatโs worked was lots of soda water, lots of running, lots of therapy, and some medication. Donโt be afraid to do whatever you need to to quit.
5 years ago I got blackout drunk on my birthday and I havenโt taken a drink since.

Although @magnoliastate.bsky.social has great album after great album overall I feel this one sometimes gets overlooked. Such a solid listen throughout.
โWe can run but we know we can never hide

This album came out on the other side of the pandemic for me emotionally and it connected on so many levels. One of my fav straight through listens of the past 10 years. @magnoliastate.bsky.social
Another sober NYE. #grateful

A very thoughtful piece about last yearโs โProdigalโ
"Both our younger selves stepped through consecrated evenings, questions hanging overhead like stars, our descendants as numerous as Abrahamโs."
Loved writing about @magnoliastate.bsky.social's Prodigal album for The Museum of Americana:
