Not that I’d expect anything less but jfc the process to bring your dog to Japan is ridiculous and I need to complain about it somewhere so here I am.

The cool thing about knowing how to weave is you can think to yourself that you’d like a pink and orange bandana and then just….make it. Pattern is Jitterbug by Bertha Gray Hayes; forever obsessed with how her 1930s overshot patterns look so current almost 100 years later.
Finally finished this krokbragd rug/tapestry I’m giving to some friends as a wedding gift, 8 hours before leaving for the wedding. I have so many weaving projects I’ve taken off the loom and never actually finished or mounted before moving on, nice to see something properly finished.
oh cool GPT-5 is released today. now even more things can suck ass
When did it become compulsory for every single book to begin with an epigraph? Sometimes it’s better to leave off the Animal Farm quote.
I think it’s because MCR looked so dumb they got lodged in the collective consciousness but it’s JEW or Sunny Day Real Estate no question.
I bought Bad Company by @greenwell.bsky.social solely from seeing it on Bluesky.
Speaking of books, the book I’m currently listening to is The Antidote by Karen Russell and I am obsessed with it. Completely enamored with the way she weaves the made up concept of dust bowl prairie witches in with the real life tribulations of the period (and 1930s girls basketball).
Decided I needed a break from reading books where people get murdered before bed so I’m reading about private equity instead, which might be worse nightmare fuel.
Thanks! I agree, it’s so satisfying as each step is done seeing it get closer and closer to neat orderly rows.
Four shaft loom warped with alternating 1” bands of yellow and orange cotton yarn, in front of a window with a white frame and sill that has a framed child’s drawing, plant, and candle on it.
Every time I warp my loom for a new project I go through about 50 rounds of I hate this it’s never going to be over I just want to get to the fun part (weaving) to accepting that warping *is* weaving and trying to enjoy the process. Anyway, after many hours, it’s ready to go.
Too bad for him Epstein is already dead.
Is it okay to live on toast and ice cream?
He’s a very tough, masculine man, in case you didn’t know from all the sexual harassment he’s committed.
A box of four cones of weaving yarn: bright pink, yellow, lime green, and aqua blue.
Time for something new.
Having multiple specialists agree after years of being sick and a medical mystery that what you have is a rare autoimmune disease is so validating until you realize it means you have a chronic, rare, poorly understood autoimmune disease forever.
But do you own this robe?
Closeup of a wool rug on a four shaft loom. Pattern is red, light blue, dark blue, green, white, and yellow, with some of the light colored wood loom and a bit of the weavers right leg visible around it.
Between dealing with a seemingly never-ending autoimmune illness flare and witnessing our descent into fascism it has been hard to sit at my loom and weave but I have been ever so slowly picking my way forward on a new krokbragd rug.

2000% humidity and a tornado watch here in Brooklyn, a beautiful day to not rank Andrew Cuomo!
My four year old picked all these flowers and learned to make a lei from our friend here in Hawaii, then asked me to model it so she could take a photo of me. Lucky to have spent such a beautiful week here.
Joe Rogan looking like a video game glitch.
Joe Rogan always looks like he’s being viewed on the back of a spoon.
The timing of this Midea air conditioner recall is really unfortunate relative to the current NYC weather.
I’m realizing now that I’ve never actually heard it either.
Cursed half animal half Matt Damon creature on an episode of Arthur.
Cursed Matt Damon propositioning Arthur.
Saw probably 100 dolphins in the Delaware bay on a 4 hour sail, so many more than I have ever seen before. Got stuck in a loop saying “I can’t believe there are so many!” Still no whale sighting tho ☹️
First sail of the summer on the Rigatoni ⛵️
We need to find a new job for Eric Adams that's not mayor but also allows him to keep doing shit like this because it's so funny
