There's Oshkosh in the summer and Sun 'n Fun in the spring but when it comes to winter, Alton Bay ice runway in New Hampshire (B18) might be the best general aviation gathering in the world. No wonder a record number of aircraft have visited this year already. Few of my favorite photos below.

Hydrofoiling boats are on the rise. They're not quite flying though.
No groomed trails but you can create your own urban track in the Providence area. Great for after work xc skiing.
