In all seriousness, I think there would be exponentially less left-wing pessimism about computer technology as a whole if more people embraced FOSS tools that are decoupled from Big Tech's clutches and get-rich-quick schemes.
Valve is in the games industry; they run the Steam store, make some hardware, and very occasionally publish games. As companies go they're pretty decent for their size. Interesting to see they make political donations.
