Traditional art I made of my OC, Wistaria! The style is a little messy and sketchy, using a brown brush pen and pink and purple markers. Wistaria is a youn woman shown in profile view from up above her elbows. She has bangs and a hair flick on the side. Wind is blowing her long, wavy hair to the side of the picture. The hair is lightly shaded in pink. She has on a headband made of pink flowers and a string connecting the section in the middle with those on the side. She is wearing a dress with t shirt style sleeves that have a pink stripe near the bottom. The top is somewhat squareish with a little bit of frill. She smiles gently, with maybe a hint of worry, as she looks to the viewer. Her eye is gently shaded in purple, and purple scribbles with the marker fill the background.

I took a couple markers and a brown brush pen to make this picture of Wistaria!

I have to wonder how some of these games would've been if they were made today. I also can't help but wish I had some of these games in my life way back when; while I'm glad I can easily talk about most of my gaming experiences with others, part of me really wishes I had at least a few niches... 😅

As I'm looking at the NES and GameBoy libraries especially, I'm finding some obscure games that feel more quirky and experimental. Even when the quality felt sub-par; from a gamedev's standpoint, I can't help but feel a little inspired by the efforts the teams put in to bring about their vision

For starters, some of these games are titles I never heard about, or otherwise never would've had the mind to look into; and am only getting to experience now because of how readily available they've been made to me. Up until now, it's mostly just been Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and a few others...

You know, I gotta say... While yes, it kinda stinks that there's no *official* way to straight up own any copies of old Nintendo games, having the NSO classic games libraries and the plethora of titles right at my fingertips is something I've come to be quite grateful for. Let me explain...

My OC Wistaria standing happily holding a bunch of flowers as a breeze goes by. This piece is made with watercolor, ink, markers, and pastel. Wistaria has light skin, light blonde hair that is wavy with bangs and two sections that go out to either side. Her hair goes nearly to her elbows. She has a purple string of four purple flowers with two white beads that connect with a small string to either side of her head and continue the crown of purple flowers. She has light blue green eyes and a big, happy, and gentle smile. She has a wide colored wrap around jacket with a burgundy lining. Her sleeves are open and flowing and reach her elbows. It meets in the middle, but separates at the waist and continues downward. The color goes from a lavender tone to white in a gradient. Under it is another light yellow shirt. The bouquet is full of many flowers and leaves of various sizes and colors, mostly in the pastel range.
