This is what it's come to. It is as if the government has climate change, biodiversity loss and indigenous relations amnesia.
Reading the MOU as a whole, there's an impression of policy in a time warp. Environmental commitments are fuzzy and down the road; Indigenous engagement amounts to financial inducements to go along with the state. It's as if nothing has been learned the last 15 years. www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/back...

Every academic / journalist should read the transcripts from the Standing Committee - they are demanding confidential personal data. They can't stand the concept of academic freedom!Unacceptable!
Any such request is not only unethical, it is a violation of privacy laws.
It’s tiresome to see American style attacks on EDI being taken up by Canadian politicians.
Equity, diversity and inclusion are hallmarks of Canadian society and should be celebrated and emulated.
