Louis Theroux On Internet Culture, The Manosphere & Getting "Cooked"
Louis Theroux On Internet Culture, The Manosphere & Getting "Cooked"

Looking forward to listening to this today.

I hate Andrew Tate so much.

Seemingly a straight white homeless man can never experience discrimination of any kind. The privilaged sods.

I refuse to get into a debate about such matters, its ridiculous.

Racism and sexism can be experienced by anyone, discrimination exists everywhere, on many multitudes of levels.

I was told explaining discrimination to me would be pointless as I couldn't possibly have experienced it, as a straight man.

Interesting.

So sexism and racism as defined in the dictionary are gone now are they? Replaced with definitions that can only be wielded by some people, and not others.

Some weird git just told me that men cant experience sexism because we live in a patriarchal society.

Is this the same new American school of thought akin to the newly defined version of racism that has only recently sprung up, and is only used in academic circles that seem removed from reality?

If you lay down in bed and have your legs stretenched out straight, does the bottom of your spine pop when you push your heels together as hard as you can?

If it does, does it feel great?

And for some reason this came up on my Youtube, and you've gotta love The Viper.

Doves - Compulsion (Andrew Weatherall Mix)

This reminded me of the Andrew Weatherall remix of a Doves track, which is great. youtu.be/5HjW7UJzB1Q...

I got to meet Andrew Weatherall once, he was a really nice dude and we had a good few chats that night.

N.Y.

It's a great album. I always thought Elbow shared a similar sonic space with Doves in some ways, but I can't explain why, there's some similarities for sure. Either way I also ended up listening to Doves, and probably their least Elbow-like track NY, which I loved as a teen. youtu.be/22GV8XZVI4w...

An Audience With The Pope

An Audience With The Pope, the Randall and Hopkirk theme styled 60s/70s cop series-ish sounding track is also a stand out. youtu.be/jO1WF-M0XxM...

I was listening to Elbows Seldom Seen Kid album yesterday, and apart from the fact its mostly brilliant, I noticed their track more than ever, they love building with a guitar and vocals, maybe minimal drums on almost every track before bang, drums and bass kick in and everything sounds big.

I found two very contrasting photos of myself from the same day a few years ago. I hate posting photos of myself but these are funny. The first one is what I'd use if I wrote a book, the second is what I'll now attach to CVs.

You could fob it off if they just met them and were photographed with em, but these people were properly good friends with the royals, staying with them, giving them advice, being given advice, they were looked after.

Ep, Savile, Harris, Ball...

I bet there's more. That's a lot of pedophiles.

There's a huge focus on Prince Andrew and his association with Epstein, but its not like Ep was the only prolific pedophile these inbreds were close to. Jimmy Savile was best friends with Charles and The Queen loved Rolf Harris. They all had their own favourite pedophile. There's more too...

The psychology behind these weird individuals can be kind of fascinating though, so can their mental gymnastics, or their motivations.

In the last few years I've been trying to avoid all weirdos, online and in the real world.

I want to underatand the disconnect between reality and fiction they experience. But it's a problem- because ultimately it's a waste of my time- they're idiots, or freaky weirdo oddities, sad bastards, lonely dims, narcissistic egotistical gobshites, they are a waste of time to bother with.

I think one of my main problems in life is with the illogical nature of most of humanity. I become half fascinated with stupidity and people that believe in things that don't make sense to me. Racists, sexists, con artists, fucked up weirdos with weird ideas- it baffles me.

Yeah sure, but I've tons of semi modular synths and guitar pedals already, an external filter bank would be great but I'm kind of done with collecting gear!

Thanks weighting it all up...

It's such a shame I can't just have a single module that works easily.

Weird stuff. This fake AI musician that blatently uses AI in both his visuals and his music asked what people are doing to combat him, Inam assuming the AI fakers are getting annoyed they're not making loads of cash. wilfriedvilcoq.bandcamp.com

Check out the fakeness.

Incredibly, my online stalker dude has left me alone for a full month and as far as I know- hasn't been saying any weird shit trying to cause dumb pointless online drama that nobody actually cares about.

I think that deserves a round of applause.

Congratulations, you're evolving perhaps.

Instead of debating dunce AI bros about the evils of generative AI, please can we all agree instead to make fun of them for having AI girlfriends.

Keep bringing up the fact they obviously sext LLMs and talk about how weird it is that they'll put AI in their real horse hair sex dolls.

This works.
