This is exactly what I have been saying for a while now. At this point, itβs not left vs right that matters, but fighters vs non-fighters. The Dems, and the American people, need fighters.
With so many things, we often can't explicitly see the benefits of things in our day to day but our world works as a network and funding for one thing, often boosts other areas that do directly benefit your day to day needs and joys. Cutting Fed funding now, will cause damage #Resist #Organize

I skimmed this list a few days ago but I didn't see that the word "female" was included. This will make it even harder to get funding for research into women's health issues. And "barrier"? What if someone wanted to study a drug crossing the blood-brain barrier? This is crazy.

But, it doesnβt directly impact men, it wasnβt studied enough.
An example of why this matters; If we had equitable research, maybe doctors would actually learn more about menopause, not just the tropes you see on tv. Itβs laughable how little training doctors receive about something that will happen to half of the population & drastically affect quality of life
National Science Foundation grants will not be awarded to research that includes terms on this list - No funding for the study of ovarian cancer? Or sickle cell anemia in the Black population? Women & minorities were rarely included in medical research until 93 & now weβre going back? 1/2
