Also, I don’t get the argument that Rigg ‘learns more from being around this group’. If he’s to fulfil his potential he needs to play games. He should be starring against opposition like that but he was anonymous. Can’t help but think he’s wasted a year that’s key to his development at his age
Are our attackers suffering from our general defensive approach (which has worked in fairness) or are some of them just not good enough. Talbi has won MOTM in the champions league and he’s come to us and does nothing against league 1 teams. Do we need another rebuild in attacking areas?
We’re the 2nd lowest scorers in the league and couldn’t create anything from open play against bottom of league 1. We need an attacking rebuild in the summer if we want to progress because we can’t rely on the defence forever. Also we’ve completely wasted a year of Rigg. Should have been loaned.
Will our approach to games change going forward now? We were very poor going forward tonight but immense at the back. Injuries permitting I’d like to see us take a few risks to win games that previously we’d be happy getting a point. Also hope Traore is ok.
Is there a rule around 2 balls being on the pitch at the same time? If the ball hits the referee the game stops instantly but all of a sudden we’re just playing with 2 balls. Doesn’t seem right

The stats for how long the ball is in play must have been abysmal today. What can be done about the pace of the game and blatant time wasting. Everyone does it so why is it so hard to punish?
Do we need to start investing in proven premier league quality as Xhaka has proven. Players like Iwobi and Wilson today for Fulham who give you consistency at this level is what we’re crying out for imo. Yes it’s expensive but so is investing in youth who don’t perform..

If they are to develop into the players that we think they could be how are they going to achieve that here at this present time if we don’t send them out on loan. They need to play and currently aren’t getting that.

Geetruida on a permanent has to be a priority doesn’t it? Covers multiple positions to a high level and appears to have bought in already. Worth noting Diarra feel like a new signing when he comes back fully fit. Can’t wait to see what he’s got
Agree with the atmosphere too, felt weirdly flat yesterday. I thought they played us off the park at times and played some of the best footie at the SoL this season. Their goal was excellent. Happily take a point given who we’ve got missing. City has the potential to be bleak. Hopefully not.
At this high of a level, playing Rigg out of position might be doing more harm than good. Not sure what he’s gaining from playing poorly out of position at his age. Especially when we have Mayenda a versatile fast left footer on the bench. We’re so much better when we have pace threat on both sides.

IMO RLB doesn’t rate Neil at this level. Very telling he didn’t come on today when Xhaka/Noah came off. He’s played 2 mins in the league all season. With AFCON and suspensions incoming RLB hasn’t tried to integrate him at all. Likely going to be a game in the next month where Xhaka/Diarra/Noah…
