I have to start having more fun. Have to. There is no point to any of this without fun. Zero reason. It's not a luxury, it's mandatory. It's as important as eating. I've been neglecting it and it shows and I'm going to do better.

Part of me really wants to know why someone would deliberately choose to pursue the humanities and then evade all the tangible benefits and growth (as someone with a lang/lit degree who works in an office the benefit was a richer inner life, not money) but I know the answer would only disappoint me.
5 minutes into Resident Evil 9 and I'm really enjoying it purely for Grace's heavy breathing, whimpering and general ambience of terror because, Girl; same.

Commercial creative fields are much healthier when you have a healthy midrange output because not only does it support more creatives it also allows for a lot more people to grow and develop rather than exist in a purely sink or swim zero sum game.
To stack caveat on caveat, although I will argue that Laputa is the best family friendly adventure film ever made and I rewatch it regularly, the Edge Chronicles was last read when I was 16 too, so there's that.
Chris Riddell is the illustrator though, so I'm sure those remain fantastic.
With the caveat that I did "properly" play it when I was 16 I can confirm that Skies of Arcadia is amazing and is part of my own personal airship holy trinity which also includes Laputa and the Edge Chronicles.

A version of that Fairly Odd Parents "If I had one meme" with a boxed copy of Resident Evil IX on the podium and text reading "This is what I'd be playing on my PS5" and "IF I HAD ONE"
Resident Evil IX has finally made me pull the trigger on buying a PS5 - Leon is my boy and with hardware prices going insane consoles are back to being an affordable gaming alternative.
Unfortunately, the game has arrived and the console isn't due until Friday.
AND I'm working the weekend!

Flay Allster is Kira Yamato's ultimate "Hear me out though".
The movie poster for good luck, have fun, don't die.
Does inadvertently watching two films about time loops one day after another make my weekend time looped themed? The unending drudgery of working a Saturday certainly lends itself to the premise.
Very good movie, every Sam Rockwell line was a banger. Great direction. Watch it however you can.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
It was good! I'd recommend sitting down to watch it and giving it the attention it deserves. Not genre defining and no surprises if you're aware of the rough plot, but a really well made movie.
Really fun film! Great animation, fun stylistic choices. No great surprises from the plot but really well executed and handles the potential for both comedy and pathos present in a time loop plot well.
Would recommend.
I love Snot Girl's art style! It's such a shame they just left it where they did.
I can't believe they're announcing Bravern 2 on your podcast.
Oh sick
The Japanese remake of Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow is in cinemas on Friday.

Also a great way to actualise your own blonde twink.
The image texture and brushes you've used really gives this a lot of depth! Looks great!
At this point the Torment Nexus comparisons are so obvious it seems pointless to make them any more.
"Hathaway should fly under Chicago" I think to myself.
The biggest problem with Guns and Roses' Sweet Child of Mine being the ending theme to the second Hathaway's Flash movie is that this video has had five years to fester in my brain and now the mental connection between it and the song is inextricable.
