Recycling Alternative finally collected this gated #recycling blue bin set Tues. Last week I told building mgt to call & supply RA with a gate fob. Condo next door has combo lock & chain on their bins, which RA again skipped Tues. I've now emailed a the condo to call & give RA the combo. #Vancouver

Sean Orr has filed legal action against Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim for saying to media without evidence that Orr was dealing drugs on Christmas Day

In Vancouver's defence, municipal recycling was yanked out of its and every other B.C. municipality's hands in 2014 by B.C. Libs & handed to a consortium of private companies under tge aegis of a non-profit EPR group called Recycle BC.

Recycling Alternative started with just 2 rented collection trucks & allegedly gappy address database from Recycle BC & possibly malicious lack of help from Waste Management, who allegedly didn't hand over necessary keys & fobs.

Mind you, 2 wks ago I gave RA a binset chain key, which they lost.

RA's suffered a lack of trucks & minimum of help from WM in handover. Many Fairview binsets not collected for 4 wks! Good luck this wk RA!

So B.C. NDP's decision to put #BritishColumbia on permanent Daylight Saving Time will actually put #homeless people at risk! The #unhoused will now have to exit shelters into temperatures 1 hr colder in DST than in Standard Time. DST has never been meant for, or done during winter! #Vancouver
