I think it's also worth noting that a big change from when the vaccines were being rolled out is that they are harder to get for many people now, especially in places that require payment for the vaccination.
There have been barriers actively put in place to make getting vaccinated harder.

It's speculated by Nausicaa that the God Warriors were created to be Gods to humanity & heavily implied that the ruling class of the ancient world chose to build autonomous weapons to be the thing to decide who gets to survive in war. That humanity decided to worship nukes.

So I recently finished reading the Nausicaa manga & had to stare at the wall for a bit because of how the Giant God Warriors differ from their film counterparts.
In the film they are more or less analogous to nukes. In the book they are autonomous & self-described as "arbitrators."

I cannot control the fact that the protagonist & the antagonist-turned-ally in my plague magic story have romantic tension whenever I plan out scenes for them.
Yes I am the one writing the scenes. No that does not mean I can stop it. The lesbians are gonna do what they do & all I can do is cheer.
