A noisy place to work today...
But the theatre will be better
After watching the news at the weekend,
I do know that my few gallons of savings is nothing
But if we all have that mindset to be efficient, make the best use of resources every day, then we can be better.
Off to 2 primary schools today and make their systems better than they were yesterday.
๐
Surely it depends
My average day includes up to 30 miles of cycling/3 hrs on a train/3 miles walking... Each way
I usually leave home at 0530, get home 1830, with a possible further few hours writing reports.
Different sites most days, anywhere below Derby
I get travel expenses back but not time
What you mean the trickle down economy didn't make us all rich
๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ
As found in a back area of a school in Bournemouth today...
Apparently it used to be the basement of a court house, and this was where they boiled down bits of body.
Mr Loophole causing ragebait...
Surely not..
Probably only annoyed he can't get paid to get cyclists off as well
One has a reputation
Well it is #worldbookday
So surely everyone dresses up in one of the favourite book characters to go to work....
All together now
Todays #dailypicturegame word is TOWER
Tomorrows word is ANIMAL
From UWL tower at the start of the M4 across London
With the news on this morning...
I felt a stormtrooper would not be right...
But I did feel we needed to bring back a smile from the age of the gloom
So just the 20 miles around Southampton

Blooming cyclists
Everyday, then they get grumpy when you point out who has prority
Assuming you have been given a bin ๐คฆ
Now maybe you can actually go back to the recycling and recycle the many many items which say recyclable but you do not touch ๐คฆ
A bug bear with much infrastructure
They ticked the box by adding a wider pavement and extra paint
Yet managed to annoy cyclists as they are just awful
And also annoy those in vehicles
The one near me cost ยฃ300k for a few hundred yards of this rubbish
Maybe they should ask those who cycle ๐คท

Really pleased
Should have been carried out many moons ago
Another day of local sites ....
So just the 15 mile cycle to work ๐
#Fatmanridesagain
Good morning
My circular cup has been on my bicycle in one way or another for 8 years, doesn't leak, 'plastic' keeps hot coffee for an hour, made from recycled products
I am not arguing anything
That all WLTP are forced and not real is not new information
That driving them as they should be makes them better is not new information
That people are quick to point fingers of blame is not new information
What is sad is the constant black/white culture
How is your Monday?
I have a man cold... trust me don't phone me today...
But I did get to site 1.5hrs early so I can put a bit more electricals into the car.
Sadly the Nero has a power cut so no coffee or croissant ๐
#ev
Why are you again talking to me as if I am an anti EV?
My neighbours Nissan Leaf does fewer miles than my PHEV in EV mode
As an engineer I don't carry 1 screwdriver, I carry a selection, I do not moan at the terminal screwdriver for not being a pozidrive. You choose the right tool for the job
With this being a ยฃ5m Heat Pump system I work on which uses solar and GSHP
Currently in the process of having a sustainably sourced and built wooden bike once the 3st of tools can be carried.
So learn not to talk DOWN to everyone
It so puts off people, who may have agreed with you before
Oh and yes as a BMS engineer who saves and adjusts energy every day
So far ยฃ25m over 15 years
Uses bike/train/foot rather than 60,000 miles a year
Feel free to continue your mansplaining as if nobody else actually knows anything
If you can find me an EV which can
1. Cost less than ยฃ550 a month
2. To do 25,000 miles a year
3. Carry 4 adults and their tools
Or 8 tread set of steps internally
4. Be easy to travel a 600 mile day
5. Be cheaper to fuel than petrol/diesel
I have been looking 10 years now, and driven many
And again as I have said I like 40% cannot charge at home
Nor like the 500% cost increase for using a public charger
Odd that you are arguing more about PHEV than seeing they are better than diesel, or petrol
Odd to that you still ignore that all WLTP results are not accurate
40% cannot charge from home in the UK
My current PHEV has 70 mile EV range
Even with no charge at 60mpg it is as good as a standard self charging hybrid.
Most of my journeys are by cycle/train
Thus PHEV fits the middle ground
