I've just had an amazing idea
I love in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark how the guns track targets, allow you to shoot around corners, and how each handles differently in terms of how they aim even. I wish this had been adopted by more later FPS games.

I got into that tracker hyperfocus mode. Submitted to weeklybeats :)
Also the song length was a total accident.
Get fucked, Bowser! Hm looks like Mario 64 makes you do the Bowserβs Submarine level still, though. Ah well.
That and it used to be the sole way of knowing what games were even coming out
Thatβs on my list of games to give another chance to
When I was a kid, the gaming mags were pretty much there to hype the big games and let you know what was coming up. I think moments when the gaming press isnβt just a big advertisement are relatively brief.
Itβs weird living through so many events that erode your faith in the public, just one event at a time, and then eventually you donβt really respect most people at all.
I drank all my roommateβs spiced rum that night, puked everywhere, and passed out.
Oh! I forgot about the coup where he tried to get his own VP bumped off. How was he even allowed to run again?
Dude died at 30, too π€·
Like it was years of pundits saying how you had to run a campaign juuuuust right and there was strategy involved or some shit. Nope! What a truckload of crap.
I didnβt think heβd win because I thought people would be turned off by what an obvious creep he was. Then I thought W era Rs wouldnβt play ball with him. Then I thought heβd lose his court cases after stealing documents. Then I thought he wouldnβt be reelected because his first term was a disaster.
Same. I was bullied every day and was either told it was my fault or got just the worst advice from the supposed adults. I guess we were both chosen to be the school punching bag. π»
I brought a pretzel sign to a protest and got hassled by security π€£
βWhatβs that on your signβ
βOh itβs a salted snackβ
Yeah when I was a kid I thought βthe emperorβs new clothesβ was less literal than it turned out to be.
I have ADHD and had delayed development. So anyway here I am at 46 watching fellow fully grown adults be complete morons. I have to wonder in some senseβ is it because they never had to really *try*?
I like cured meats and there is no cure
The public didnβt exactly want to avoid it, either. Like you canβt elect a total psycho, who was a completely known quantity at that point, and be like βoh gosh I canβt believe heβs getting us into a warβ
And watching a million Americans die of Covid, much of which was preventable. I think we all came out the other side of both of these things feelings like life is considered cheap in this country. It definitely wasnβt before.

What was the post apocalyptic door game that had a graphical frontend and Bart Simpson was one of the enemies you could encounter?
Oh my god I havenβt thought about barren realms forever. I mostly did lord and the pit
Xybots 2 when
Yeah, it was all double scanned.
Who remembers Legend of the Red Dragon (L.o.R.D.)?
Most VGA displays prolly barf on that. Iβve got an old Dell monitor here that will display low res through its composite jack but Iβm not sure itβll do low res if itβs over VGA. Now i wonder.
