Not about clarity, it’s about the reveal coming *after* it would’ve made emotional sense, and for me at least, it ended up leaving me with all sorts of questions of about how all of this (the tether's whole existence) actually happened.
He’s a good confectioner. Fun entertainments but as empty caloried as your average superhero flick (except for JACKIE BROWN). Great filmmakers have something to say about themselves and about the world, other than ‘i like m0vies, heehee!’. My 2 cents.
