I'll be sure to say "Fuck Trump" whenever I can, then.
@johnhedtke
Writer, nonfiction author, cat lover, banjo player, have attended SF conventions since 1976, ENFP. Love cooking and baking, sushi, classical music, Ealing Studios movies (notably "Kind Hearts and Coronets"), travel, Opihr gin. Frequently a silly person.
I'll be sure to say "Fuck Trump" whenever I can, then.
Haw haw haw!
I do believe you're right.
A lot of this is going to hit MAGATs. My care for them is truly minimal--they are the reason we're having this problem--but I'm hoping they direct their anger at the true source of their problems. I don't have a lot of faith in their ability to figure things out, though.
The thought "Yet" comes to mind, but it doesn't at the moment, thankfully on all counts.
I *love* the idea of antivaxxers dying; I really do. Evolution in action.
The *ONLY* problems I have with it is that they'll expose other, undeserving people to diseases and--particularly with COVID and flu--they can act as human petri dishes for new variants.
But them? Fuck 'em with a chainsaw.
80-some years ago, we knew what to do about Nazis. We had a clear, unambiguous, effective method for dealing with them.
We should remember how well that worked.
The Louisiana Dept of Health has advised officials that telling people about COVID, flu, or mpox vaccines MUST STOP, even including putting up signs at clinics simply saying that vaccines are available.
Our expectations for Louisiana are never high, but JEE-zus! Evolution in action.
@daviddlevine.com I certainly remember Kennedy's assassination and funeral (was 7) but I also have seen Eisenhower campaign ads that I seem to remember. I'd have been a toddler at that point, but I think they stuck.
@godlyblue.bsky.social
I read this and it just sounded like pee-pee whacking to prove how manly he is.
Sure, he's the richest man in the world and has effective unlimited power as a result. He's also coming off more and more like an insecure little man. It's pathetic.
@skymysteries.bsky.social
We've no idea what this was seeing, but we do know that the the ISS is in low-earth orbit along with ~3000 satellites. That we're likely to see something reflecting the Sun is not surprising.
@scalzi.com W/r/t someone living their life as well as fighting the world's flames, I believe that it was Starhawk who said, several decades ago, "My commitment to the movement is lifelong, so it's okay if I take 10 years off now and then."
Oh, MY!!!!
Someone observed that, with the average medical debt being $18K, that a reward of a mere $10K was inadequate to get anyone to even turn their heads.
I think it *is* rather important for their POV to catch him. I'm not so sure he'll be seen, though; vision is covered separately.
Oh, rats, my inexperience with Bsky got in the way. This was supposed to be in response to a post about how everyone should dress up in a hoodie to look like the UHC shooter.
"No, **I** am Spartacus!" :D
Skeet made me laugh though ๐คฃ
Hot damn!! I'd been expecting this, but hadn't heard the good news.
Yesssssss, parking his butt in genpop would be delightful. I'm sure his winning personality will make him lots of friends. He'll get along just fine in the can.
I've always been fond of "Tangerine Wankmaggot," but lately I've leaned toward "Melon Felon."
"No, *I* am Spartacus!!"
HAW HAW HAW HAW! Well spoke. :)
"NY Style?" There are indeed many schnarky answers that come to mind, but, srsly? I looked it up: it seems to be marketing, following the KISS song about New York Style. But a review says that it's "closer to a citrus vodka on the nose than a typical gin" and that it's not a London dry. OK. :)
Think of this one as a free square! :)
I'm just set up enough to have an identity here and start connecting with people.
I am busy busy busy with writing this month and will play more on Bsky when I have the oppty.
