Join us to discuss this powerful and timely novel two weeks from tonight. Book will be paired with our hard iced tea because the best use of ice is to make drinks cold. If you haven’t been before, just read the book up and show up and we’ll take it from there.
From Ayendy Bonifacio for Los Angeles Review of Books: Lost Children Archive is an evocative novel about displacement, migration, family, and the cartography of parenthood in the age of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facilities.
Off Color Book Club meets again two weeks from tonight on Tuesday, March 17th at 7pm!
This month we’re revisiting a novel included on 2019’s New York Times list of the Top Ten Books, a novel that feels more relevant today than ever, Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli.
This event has already sold out, so we have added a 1pm session.
Each ticket includes six (6) 5oz pours of beer, two each of six different Girl Scout cookie varieties, and one 5oz monk mouse tasting glass. This event is 21+. One ticket is for one person. Seats are extremely limited, but we will add a second session if demand exists.
Over the course of about two hours we’ll taste through six expertly, and meticulously, selected Off Color beer and Girl Scout cookie pairings featuring a wide spectrum of unique styles and distinct flavors.
Beer and cookies. Who doesn’t love that pairing?
We know it’s been done before, many times by many other breweries, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome. Yep. We’re doing an Off Color beer and Girl Scout cookie pairing event at Mousetrap on Sunday March 8th at 3:00pm.
This Belgian Blonde Ale is a mythical blend of bread aromatics emerging from under a pillowy head and flavors of pear spiked oat milk latte sprinkled with allspice. Despite its depth of flavor, it’s as approachable as our favorite giant semi-aquatic mascot.
Now available.
No, it’s not April Fool’s Day. Yes, you’re on the right account. This is an Off Color beer. You might as well call this one Beer for All the Colors (birth name Capycorn) because we squeezed twelve years of colors into this one can :)
I'll be at the middle time slot. This should be pretty good!
Grab your copy of the book and nibble on cheese as you drink through a series of world-renowned Trappist beers and Belgian styled Off Color beers including a new Port Barrel Aged version of our Belgian Quad Growl.

Join us February 22nd (multiple sessions) for a relaxed brewery open house, meet-and-greet session, and Trappist beer tasting with Dr. Marty Tomszak, author of the newly released Time, Silence, and Yeast: A Song of Appreciation for Trappist Communities and Their Beer.
Today at noon
Granny Smith apple tart, lightly citrus saison fermented with native, wild yeast in one of our Sangiovese wine puncheons act as backdrop for the tropical, mango-banana weirdness that make Paw Paws and Frank Zappa so distinct. Also don’t miss the sweet new trash panda glass.
Large, hard to remove seeds and a window of ripeness measured in days. We swore we would never again BUT some cool gents from Southern Illinois run a Paw Paw festival and provided frozen, de-seeded pulp! Huzzah!!
Also known as Swamp Apples, Hoosier Bananas, and a number of similar folksy nicknames, Paw Paws are still somewhat unknown as they are almost the antithesis of a commercially viable fruit. Thick, tough, easily bruisable skin.
NEW BEER ALERT!!
We said we’d never make it again, but here we are like 6-7, yeah we said it, years later and Paw-Paw is back. The largest fruit indigenous to North America, Paw Paws taste like a heady mixtape of vanilla custard, tropical mango, and overripe banana.
Our most colorful shirt yet has arrived! Capycorn tie-dye shirts are now available online and at the taproom. Check back here in the next day or two for more information on the actual beer release ;)

Yes. Taproom is OPEN and patios are OPEN on this beautiful February summer day.
Forgot a Valentine’s Day card? Feel free to print this one :)
And as a special treat, bourbon from the actual Wolf Point/Beer on the Wall house pick barrel will be available as both neat pours and in cocktails so you can trace the lineage and nuance of this auspicious pair.
This ruby hued cherub plays Juliet to Wolf Point’s Romeo in a bourbon barrel hand selected by Beer on the Wall and further cellared for an additional year at Mousetrap. Only two kegs remain in existence so don’t dawdle lest this becomes another story of woe in a Capulet crypt.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Mousetrap is tapping a special release of our native fermented Reine des Renards Framboise aged in a French Calvados foedre with raw apple cider and Michigan grown raspberries.
A sneak preview from an upcoming project 🤫
Some empty can bodies arrived at the brewery for a future beer. Might have to start calling us On Color when these Capycorn cans drop in a couple weeks. #chicagobeer #offcolorbrewing
