Don’t assume that a person “being quiet publicly” about what’s going on in the world is doing nothing. Sometimes that’s true, but a lot of folks who are grappling with trauma have to process in private and take quiet action. You can’t see behind the scenes, so don’t assume you know the whole story.

It is VERY frustrating. It bothers me, too, and yet, this “loophole” will likely give him an out this time. SMDH
It is a private college, so there’s a grey area with funding. Historically, the state has done some funding of private institutions, but this year, the new guy cut the funding. It smacks of the whole “anti-DEI” racism trope, but I’m sure he’ll find a supportive out because it’s not a public school.
Depending on how the whole 14th amendment “birthright” issue shakes out, you could see a whole lot of folks losing citizenship - including me and my kids.
We can cross our fingers and hope that the Supreme Court rules that the executive order is Unconstitutional.
But they may not.
Then what?!
The 14th amendment, among other things, gave citizenship to emancipated slaves. Without it, there’s a whole question of whether or not any person who descends from those folks have citizenship.
My great grandmother was an emancipated slave.

Yup. My brother named me after a girl in his class that he was sweet on. I am glad they translated it a little. My brother had a speech impediment at the time and said “wet’s name hew Wee-saw”.
I was SUPPOSED to be named Naomi. Can you imagine how sassy I would have been with THAT name?
