In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.
Every Friday as a kid, my dad would come home with a new Goosebumps, and man did I look forward to that. Predator was an early obsession too, and when I found out about AvP crossover? So cool. No idea what happened to my copies over the years, but glad I could find these.
I’m on a similar journey. 41 and writing fiction for the first time for the pure joy of it. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t self-conscious about starting so late, but fuck it. Glad to find you here.
