With all the news coming in, it's clear that it's a dire time for science. It's a very dire time for higher education. It's an especially dire time for archaeology

Dress it up in progressive language but you're cheating yourself by not doing the work. This is the worst thing about AI: millions of students refusing to learn, taking zero interest in the world around them, empty in mind and heart. Your punishment is the person you will become.

During my recent trip home to Melbourne I had the opportunity to view some amazing ancient Chinese bronze vessels from the Shang and Zhou dynasties (ca. 1600-256 BC).
These objects are a part of the collection held within the National Gallery of Victoria.
Well worth a visit.
