I'm in Margate. Our lovely local bookshop do loads of author events, if you're ever down this way!
Missed the announcement for this but very exciting to see - loved the RAM JFK club before so hoping this picks up the trail from where that left off. Good luck with the launch! Will pop down to the bookshop tomorrow and get this pre-ordered
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of the great Augie Meyers. I wrote extensively about his playing and sound in my post about Dylan's "Love Sick." As Bob said, "His playing speaks volumes. Speaks in tongue actually."

No, it wasn't an article but one of my tweets!
Thank you! That's a good idea, I'll see what fits ❤️
@rmrakove.bsky.social hey Roberta, just seen the notifications - I can't access my DMs on this app unfortunately to reply but hope you and your husband enjoyed the match!

It's very bizarre, isn't it? Can't quite work out the rhyme or reason why some do OK and some don't, or why people seem to subscribe more when you're not posting
Yeah, that one is great! Loved Barney Hoskyns' Tom Waits book, too

Trying to get back to writing regularly on Substack. I can't help notice that when I don't post for a while my subscriber count climbs up and when I do post it goes back down. Maybe people just want more posts about Dylan. Anyway, here's Waits & Barnett

Haha! Well, I like your posts even if those unfollowers don't seem to! 😅

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it and hope so as well! 😅
Forty years later the klezmer-noir of Leonard Cohen’s ‘I’m Your Man’ LP remains the most radically successful reinvention of any of the major songwriters from the 1960’s. A moral and geopolitical hellscape staged as Vegas review. One part Rat Pack, one part Leviticus. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZOT...
not sure why it's so scary to have your opening chapters out there for anyone to read, but I've entered my LGBTQ+ novel into the #LibraroPrize if you'd like to check it out ❤️

My mum reminded me earlier on that Together Through Life came out four years ago today. I should probably hurry up with the Rough and Rowdy sequel soon.
First, though, I'm working on a new (separate) project, and am waiting to hear back from publishers and agents about getting this off the ground
Thank you, Mum! ❤️❤️❤️
I am, indeed! ❤️
I do and of course you can!
Thanks! It's a really enjoyable read. Looking forward to hearing what you think
One was in a book about Leonard Cohen and the other one was in a book by Joan Didion!
Haha! I think that might be how that word ended up there in the first place 😅 I learnt two new words today, too (somnambulant and phenomenological) and then immediately tried to find places and ways to use them, so I'm definitely your son 🤭😁
