I remember "Busy Woman" from her previous album, another good example of a "female" protagonist who becomes toxic as she gets rejected by her sexual/love interest

It's a good reading, but imo Carpenter's goes a bit further than that, denouncing 360° toxicity in relationships. Even tho she's definitely more focused on the "male" side of toxic relationships, with songs like "don't worry I'll make you worry" sh also portrays the manipulation experienced by a guy
