That seems like poor planning to me

Additionally, some of them are very obviously spam Bots. So when I go to my notifications and app, it just sits there saying over and over again that's so and so has followed me and I can't clear that notification or see the new people that have followed me without seeing their name sitting there

I have a suggestion for the programmers of this app. There has to be a way to stop the pile of notifications all through the day. I still haven't found it :-( in addition to that what are we supposed to do if somebody follows us, but they are an obvious bot and we don't want to follow them back?
