I have been finding so many uses for my PCB Probe Jig. I thought I'd use it once in a while but it's been on my bench full time for the past week.
I gave a quick demo on @adafruit.com Show&Tell this evening 🤩

Congrats!
How are you planning to mechanically connect them?
If you’re using MicroPython and are trying to determine if the RPi2040’s builtin USB CDC connection is active, this solution worked for me forum.micropython.org/viewtopic.ph...
They state “various reasons”, one of which appears to be the $2/mo fee to use the device which is managed through devices.usb7.net
On the more complex end of the spectrum, Bunnie’s projects like Novena, NeTV2, and Precursor immediately come to mind

Would also be fairly trivial to make a shim a3d.dll which did the same checks and passed through to the appropriate implementation
This one KiCad 9 feature alone will save me buckets of time!
The image shows a printed circuit board (PCB) with a humorous text printed on it. The text reads: "Every machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough." The PCB has visible circuit traces, connection points, and what appears to be the layout for a 7-segment digital display. The phrase is a witty commentary on the potential for catastrophic failure in electronics or machinery if misused, suggesting that improper operation can lead to overheating or burning, often resulting in smoke. This playful touch adds personality to the PCB design, which might belong to a hobbyist or a quirky project.
Beware the magic smoke.
I still have a bzip’d 4GB USB disk image for this in case someone ever needs it for recovery

Also saves the cost and (un)reliability of connectors, as well as taking their parasitic capacitance out of the equation.

Yup
Which magnetic USB connector are you using?
Super congrats Oscar! Seamless tissue fusion by robotic soldering. Amazing collaboration with the fantastic surgeons from LiskaLab and the amazing Romain Quidant.

Back in 2001 ARM released processors (Aarm926EJ-S for example) with the Jazelle extension. Jazelle enabled direct Java bytecode execution in silicon. This was implemented via an execution state - think ARM vs Thumb mode.

I'm always bad at remembering to push the handful of non-loc translations I've done in recent years, but since backwards compatibility is on people's minds again, this autobiographical piece on the creation of the PS2's BC features is genuinely still one of my favorite things I've ever worked on.
