The only thing that will get through to Blizzard is money and while I don't think they will ever actually change much for the better if you really want them to at least attempt to fix their problems you have to stop giving them your money.
This is why I stopped playing the game. I loved WoW a lot even with all of its problems, I played the game for 18 years, but as it currently stands I won't play it and I would never recommend someone else to play it either.
Unfortunately the next thing to be understood is that Blizzard itself also doesn't care and is never going to change. It's the same Blizzard that told us we didn't know what we wanted but they just lie to us and tell us things it thinks we want to hear but it hasn't changed at all.
I don't like to be a killjoy but it's honestly really nice to see other people coming to the same conclusions about the WoW writers that I have. The current writers don't care about WoW and they don't want to play with it's established lore or characters which is why everything sucks
