This was the work of many hands over 7 long years and is a landmark achievement in our Faith in Housing project, the 121 year history of this church, the City of Inglewood, and housing in LA County. We celebrated with all of our hearts from tears to laughter, in prayer, song, dance, and fellowship.
Over the weekend we celebrated history in the making: a groundbreaking on the development of an Affordable Housing project on Black-owned church land in Los Angeles County at Inglewood First UMC.
Through the Dena Rise Up Coalition, survivors of the Eaton Wildfires have been building power, joining with disaster survivors across the country to demand that the current administration invest in a just and equitable restoration for survivors.
