We took a Sunday rive on Wednesday from Butte to Twin Bridges, and admired the Big Hole River on Burma Road. Climbed to the top of some hills by the neat rocks, saw some moose, pronghorn, and deer, and a beautiful huge pheasant. #montana #buttemt #bigholeriver

J took some pics of part of the estate sale finds today. I love forest service memorabilia. Little trinkets and things. We also got some hand tied flies and a mint Browning fly reel. We're gonna catch a fish for the old feller.

First fishes of 2026 at Rock Creek. This beautiful cutty was my favorite. We got some very flashy, fighting rainbows, too. J caught a big ol fat one. I received a Battenkill reel for Christmas and was anxious to get out to use it.

Been kinda suffering the winter sads, the weather hasn't been great here, and I've been working a lot. 70+hrs this week alone.

Haven't been fishing. Haven't been going to the woods. Struggling some days to keep my head up. I'm fine, I will be fine.

I'm just tired.

I have been at training for two weeks and graduated yesterday. While I am technically still certified as LE, I am not an active officer. I do work as a 911 dispatcher now, and received my certification.

I also received an award.

I'm proud of myself.

We got some mini bricks for Christmas and I've been exhausted from a wild schedule and environment change for training. Instead of Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram, I put together the rainbow trout. He cute. #rainbowtrout #trout

A little creek action yesterday. Napped in our hammocks for a bit, watched some folks fish through while we rested. Didn't get as hot as they were thinking and we even got a nice rain shower. #flyfishing #montana #womenwhoflyfish #dogsky

Litigation if I need it. I don't get weekends and holidays off for my job but I do get double and triple pay, and holiday incentive. I get insurance at no cost to me. I get a comfy uniform stipend, and a 2x year payout for comp/holiday pay.

It's a slow overnight.

I cleaned out both our fishing packs and the big bag. I sorted flies and added a few more to the thrashed box, to be added to the mason jar we collect them in. Soon I'll need a quart jar for all the junk flies we accumulate lol
