They really are running this thing like a high school relationship.
They really are running this thing like a high school relationship.
What an absolute disgrace.
For sale. Marco's shoes. Size 11. Big shoes for Little Marco. Bigger than you'd think. I would have guessed 10. You go with 10, right? Round number, some say the roundest. 10 commandments, 10 toes, so many things come in 10, but you can't talk about that. They won't report that.
Everyone talking about the Strait of Hormuz when you should actually be going straight to More News.
I just paid $4.89 at the cheap spot. Fun, we all get to find out how much MAGA cares about the leadership of Iran.
Sometimes I forget the rest of the country has cheaper gas prices than Los Angeles. If there was $3.29 gas in L.A. there would be a line around the block and multiple fights breaking out per hour for positioning.
Hang on, when my sonβs done watching Spidey Iβll ask him to craft a reply.
Itβs so bizarre because heβs acting as if the inverse thing has occurred - as if Doocy is asking about college athletics while theyβre holding an event about war and death.
Love when our president reads his position on something for the first time, publicly, out loud, and then immediately disagrees with it, having not known that was his position until seconds earlier.
"It's always a possibility" really should have clued them all in. I guess it was overshadowed by the "we're not going to go to war" (This was 9 days before the election.)
Fox News Poll: Deporting immigrants who are living in the U.S. illegally back to their home countries? π’ Favor: 59% π€ Oppose: 40% Daniel Di Martino πΊπΈπ»πͺ @DanielDiMartino Same poll: Do you support allowing illegal immigrants who have jobs in the United States to apply for legal status? Favor: 67% Oppose: 33%
These contradictory results are due to people thinking that Immigrants With Jobs are a small fraction of Immigrants, most of whom are fraudsters and gang members. They believe this because they have been repeatedly lied to about it and, unfortunately, are racist enough to not look into it very much.
The president, standing at Ground Zero, speaking into a megaphone with his arm around a firefighter: βShit happens, huh? Goddamn, would you look at that.β
lol
The most recent Gallup poll only has 33% of Americans describing themselves as "moderate." news.gallup.com/poll/700499/...
Here's a Gallup poll in 2024 that doesn't split things up the same way, but only 34% describe themselves as "moderate" (way lower than 30 years ago!). You'd get 78% if you added the percentages who say they are conservative, moderate, or liberal... but that seems like a stretch, right?
Here's a YouGov poll from a month ago, where only 40% of Americans put themselves in one of those three categories. yougov.com/en-us/articl...
Ellison responded, βSo, look, Iβve said this since the beginning, which is, you know, for β when it really comes to β editorial independence will absolutely be maintained. Itβs maintained at CBS. Itβll be maintained at CNN. And, really, who we want to talk to is the 70% of Americans and really around the world that identify as center-left, as center-right. And we want to be in the truth business. We want to be in the trust business. And thatβs not going to change.β
David Ellison throws this "70%" around a lot, but it looks like a fake result? I can't find any poll that says anything particularly close to that number, and existing polls directly contradict it.

<republican vice president whisked to secure location during war of choice in middle east> etc
JD Vance, who will go on television and podcasts to shamelessly defend this administration's most grievous cruelties, has apparently decided to stay home and let Hegseth sort this one out.
Itβs like Fascist Beat Poetry. Like heβs a presenter at the Satan Awards.
I'm reminded of the "Everyone is totally just winging it, all the time" post from The Guardian in 2014, which delightfully cites the rocky rollout of the ACA website as an example. We are now at through-the-looking-glass levels of Winging It.
The news?
Thank you so much, Parker!
This was a really good episode of the @somemorenews.bsky.social podcast www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuka... @jonathan-a-thon.bsky.social @katystoll.bsky.social @codyjohnston.bsky.social
In two decades, presidents will screw up and theyβll become major scandals, and people will say βImagine if Trump did this!β to reminisce about a time when half the country wouldnβt have cared.
Trump sees his job as βwhich guy I kill?β and then to peace out like Leonard Nimoy after escaping a runaway monorail.
This βtake over your governmentβ stuff is going to be how Trump blames the people of Iran for anything that goes wrong after the initial bombing.
βI did my job, but a lot of stupid people made a lot of mistakes after we did our job, and we did a great job,β and so forth.
I expected to see full-throated condemnations from every Democrat in Congress reposted into my feed. Since Iβm not seeing that yet, I can only assume theyβre still dutifully working on them.
Can't wait to be surprised when 85 million Americans don't remember this in a decade.
The morally bankrupt Trump administration has partnered with another morally bankrupt authoritarian to declare an unprovoked war on Iran, already killing scores of civilians.
We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.
