I would never say no!
I would never say no!
Got reminded about this card today. So epic and nostalgic to me.
I really want to try out PreDH just so I have an excuse to run it
I started in early 2000s? Very casually, but Shivan Dragon and Serra Angel are peak iconic for me. Hypnotic Specter too.
I started being more invested in the game in 2011 and Delver has been a favorite creature of mine ever since, played it in Standard / Pauper / Legacy, so it's way up there too
Happy "groan whenever I bend over to pick something up" birthday year!
Thoughts on Price of Progress in casual Commander? How do you feel about it showing up in bracket 2 games? Bracket 3? Fine, or too much?
Don't worry, MH4 will fix it!
It changes every week or so. My current favorite is Princess Yue, not the strongest deck but I love piloting it and my opponents enjoy playing against it.
not yet, but it's in my list!
Ashling is probably the stronger commander, but nothing beats casting chandra's ignition on my 40/40 melek
Awesome! Glad it's been helpful :)
It's finally done
When I saw these two I immediately thought of Norin as well!
I mean as a general rule print battlebond lands into the ground, in 5C I like them less but it's still better than a lot of the lands they included.
And you're right, this precon feels like it's trying to be a baseline for every theme in the set, like a TMNT commander starter kit
Yeah this one is great
All the battlebond lands by default. Print them to the ground like they did with painlands and other cycles.
If we need to preserve reprint equity, a 5C deck should have trilands, take out all those thriving and evolving lands.
Look, I'm happy the TMNT precon gives us City of Brass and 2 whole battlebond lands, those reprints are much needed, but the overall land package is still bad. 3 thriving lands, 3 evolving wilds variants is awful for a 5C deck. It's 2026 and we're still getting these!
I don't know much about TMNT, but from these Magic cards I assume the show is 90% about pizza and 10% about turtles eating pizza
I'd have to check the articles to see if any specifically mention them.
In my personal opinion, not speaking as a representative of a group? The backside of this card seems to me like something White currently can't do in the color pie (burn). Unlike hybrid which in theory both colors can do atm.
I'm opening some slots for commissions. If you're looking for artwork for things like tokens, playmats, proxies etc send me a message :)
my face is a 100% accurate depiction of how I felt this game
duality of man
You mean you wanted it as a GC, or you want games to go longer? ๐ค
I don't think Farewell is too strong. But if B1/B2 games are averaging 2hrs then hard resets adding an extra hour might not be ideal.
And Lutri, dislike adding extra exceptions to ban list for a single card, but if the line is drawn here then whatever. Happy for the otter fans.
Changed my mind on two things about the recent Commander announcement based on feedback:
- Now agree w/ Farewell being GC, it's often a hard reset on the game, B1/B2 games are usually long enough already
- Now ok w/ Lutri being unbanned, it's an easy "fix" if someone accidentally has it as companion

I'm with you on proxying is good, but if better manabase doesn't increase power then there's no literally no reason to proxy
Consistency and speed is power
