Another update on the cloud chamber project... I ran a test to see if it'll work and wow! It actually works!!! I wish I had the uranitite ore in ordered, but I'll get another video when I have my hands on it! It's still a work in progress, but I'm happy with the results!
Update on my project, the cooling mechanism is working better than I expected! Ignore the mess of wires in the background, I'll be cleaning that all up when I start to build the actual circuitry for it. At the moment, everything is kind of manually controlled by two bits of wire acting as a switch!
Just about everything! They were super quick, showed progress pictures, and made any changes without fuss that I requested (even though it was just one!) Plus, I find their prices reasonably affordable!

My guess is while driving the crack got worse and I didn't notice it until it was warm enough to get a real good look under the hood. I'm always unnerved with coil overs because they're under so much tension that I don't want to risk it... Even if it is possibly deemed safe...
Yup. This crack is a part of the upper mount that holds the spring and shock and allows it to mount to the vehicle. There's maybe a quarter inch (6mm) of material holding everything together on both sides. Surprised it didn't blow when I was driving it 500 miles (~800 km) after I got it.
Just take your time and don't rush things. Pet or person, it doesn't matter what they are, losing someone you're close to always hurts, but you've got a community here to support you.
