Had a lot of fun teaching the first year students about the cerebellum today! Opened with the Powerpuff girls, how the mayor was absolutely useless and horrible at his job, but his assistant was essential, ran everything, and kept the town afloat. Her name was Ms. Sara Bellum. Got audible gasps!

Ugh the fact that second year grad student can no longer apply to the nsf-gfrp is so devastating to my students. They purposely didn't apply last year. They could have announced that they would enforce the change next year to allow for some heads up and buffer. Just ridiculous.
