In a broken system creativity is a lifeline giving us courage to imagine something better and power to build it. I’ve learned that imagination & hope can open doors where policies and paperwork can’t. When we think differently, we can find solutions for all, not just those the system was built for.
Progress looks different for each child and that’s ok. Sometimes it’s steady & slow; other times it is sudden. Progress is progress regardless.
Raising a child takes a community, educating them takes a team of dedicated staff. I’m grateful to my team, when we made a difference we did it together!

In my article - p50 & 51 - I explore how leaders in special schools can help mainstream to strengthen inclusive practice. It was written months ago but its message is timely following the publication of the SEND Reform & White Paper.
What are your thoughts?

Headteachers are carrying fears few people truly see.
One worry is how to successfully manage inclusion whilst under resourced and underfunded?
Wyse Inclusion exists not just to survive but to build schools where belonging isn’t conditional, support isn’t scarce and difference is understood.
I set up Wyse Inclusion because I know how heavy leadership can feel & I know how powerful it can be when it’s anchored in purpose.
Leaders step into leadership because they believe schools can change lives.

With Wyse Inclusion my mission is to help build truly inclusive cultures where children with SEND thrive.
